The Shunting Shed is a little gem in Botriver with SO much character. After being taken there for lunch this passed Sunday and feeling thoroughly spoiled, I can only convey the complete rustic sensory experience we shared with unadulterated pleasure.
Classical jazzy tunes and 30's renditions are delivered on an old piano, aromas from the wood fired oven permeate the atmosphere, and the view of the neighbouring wine farms create a visual delight.
The best of all of course, is the food, which is beautifully presented. I ended up devouring this carb free Chicken burger, topped with brie, bacon, avo and fresh garden greens, washing it down with some crisp white wine.
